A 10.3% overall sales decline gets softened in every headline by the phase-out asterisk. "Excluding Escape and Corsair and rental cuts, we were up 0.5%." I have heard that math used to explain away bad results before and it never ages well. The EV numbers are the part nobody wants to sit with. Down 40.7%. Lightning discontinued. Mach-E bleeding volume.

Toyota up double digits. Hyundai record June. Kia record June. Subaru double digits. Nissan 16 straight months of retail growth. And Ford down 10%.
